Helping Those In Need

GreenSaver works with community partners to promote free energy saving programs to homeowners and renters faced with costly utility bills.

Households that spend more than 10% of their income paying their utility bills are in a constant state of “energy poverty”. Believe it or not, this is true for about 20% of residents in Ontario and can mean the inability to afford to adequately heat one’s home. For the HOME ASSISTANCE Program and Enbridge Winterization Program GreenSaver works with the provincial network of social services, agencies and affordable housing options to ensure nobody gets left out in the cold or the dark.
