Green$aver launches Energy Efficiency Assistance Program for Houses (EEAPH)

To address energy conservation and help those most vulnerable to rising energy prices, Green$aver has launched the Energy Efficiency Assistance Program for Houses (EEAPH). This province-wide program is sponsored by the Ontario Power Authority with support from municipalities, social service agencies and local utilities. Green$aver will deliver the program in selected communities across the GTA (Toronto, Peel, Brampton, and Caledon).

Free home energy audits and retrofits will be provided to help families with limited incomes living in electrically heated houses. The retrofits include installation of basic measures such as energy-efficient light bulbs, showerheads, and pipewrap. Some houses may also receive additional retrofit work such as attic and wall insulation, whole-house draft proofing and new fridges. The audit will identify which retrofits are to be installed based on the greatest amount of electrical savings for each house.

Program participation is limited to 270 households in Toronto and Peel.

Please contact Green$aver to add your name, address and contact information to our waiting list.

If you are a social service agency and would like to promote this program, please provide your contact information, including phone and email address to Green$aver.
