Green$aver Celebrates 35,000 energy audits with the Ontario Minister of Energy and Chief Energy Conservation Officer

Friday, April 18, 2008 Green$aver officially opened our new location at 74 Six Point Road.  VIPs from the province and city gathered together including: Gerry Phillips, Ontario Minister of Energy; Peter Love, Ontario Chief Energy Conservation Officer;  Laurel Broten, MPP, Etobicoke-Lakeshore; and Peter Milczyn, Toronto City Councillor, Ward 5, Etobicoke Lakeshore.

Guests were exposed to the numerous programs Green$aver is leading as well as our traditional products and services including:

  • ecoEnergy Home Energy Assessments
  • Insulation and Draft Proofing Services
  • Enbridge Home Energy Efficiency Retrofit Pilot (providing low income residents with free assessments and upgrades)
  • Greening Sacred Spaces Program (helping faith communities)
  • Small Business Pilot (providing free assessments and upgrades in York Region)
  • Market Driven Incentives Pilot (transforming the way the market values an upgraded home and the financial incentives)
  • Solar Hot Water Initiative (new technology at an accessible price)
  • Alterna Green$aver Improvement Loan (financing at variable prime)

Green$aver's long-term commitment to the environment through energy efficiency was recognized throughout the community and Vladan Veljovic, Green$aver President & CEO was presented with a certificate of recognition for Green$aver's work by Peter Love, Ontario Chief Energy Conservation Officer.
